Hesperia Tower

Not a lot of hotels in Barcelona are able to intimidate they way Hesperia Tower does. Spectacular in its architectural conception, is stands out among the buildings around it thanks to its radically modern and apparently cold look –just apparently because this first impression vanishes as soon as we enter the lobby, an open-plan space with different atmospheres created with the decor layout, that presents a daring design that is, at the same time, kind to the traveller.

Hesperia Tower is a convention hotel belonging to Hesperia group located between the airport and Barcelona’s Plaza de Espanya, with easy access by subway or bus and from any point in the city. Although reference rates normally exceed 250 €, it is not difficult to find a deluxe double room for 150 €, luxurious breakfast included.

From the very first contact with the doorman or at the reception, attention will be personalized but not lacking in neither kindness nor warmness. But it is actually when we reach the room that we will understand the excellent value for money we are offered here: more than generous dimensions, top quality furniture, avant-garde décor in dark colours and fantastic amenities in a huge, elegant bathroom with different spaces for the bath and the toilet.

Of course, the safe deposit box is free, and so is the wi-fi available in all the premises. Rooms have mini bar and TV offers some 40 channels. Air conditioner and heating work impeccably.

Views over Barcelona and the south part of the city are noteworthy. As rooms are located from the seventh floor and up, all of them with no exception offer matchless views.

For those who feel lazy about going to the city centre for lunch or dinner, the hotel houses three restaurants: the exclusive Evo by chef Santi Santamaría, located on the building’s dome and with impressive views; the two-floored Bouquet Restaurant, that offers, in a cool atmosphere, signature cuisine with prices that are more accessible than those in Evo, and finally, for a casual, informal meal we can choose Axis, in the hotel’s lobby. Drinks until 3am can be enjoyed either in Bouquet or in the versatile Axis.

Guests will enjoy, as well, discounts in the adjacent cutting-edge Metropolitan, a huge gym with Olympic swimming pool.

Also, the hotel offers 5.500 square meters divided into different meeting, congress and convention rooms, that are hired every day and make this special five star hotel burst with life and activity.
